Reuben wins the Queen of Hearts drawing!

Our very dedicated Rotarian Reuben won almost $500 when he drew the Queen of Hearts from 7 remaining cards in January. A sweep of the Queen of Hearts, Happy Bucks and Birthday accounts netted a donation over $800 to Storybook Island. The deck starts over, but you must play to win! Be generous with your raffle purchases and/or Happy Bucks comments!

NCAA Basketball Fundraiser books bouncing into members' pockets!

The Basketball books fundraiser proceeds will benefit Storybook Island Carousel House this year. All members are asked to purchase a minimum of 5 books at $20 each for $100 donation. You may resell any of these books to non-Rotarians. The receipt slips and payment must be turned in to the Basketball sales committee by March 31 to win. The games begin April 2 for semi-finals, with championship on April 4. Books are selling quickly! Get yours in the next week or so at club meetings.  Committee members are Jim LeMar, Keryn Rowland and Darrell Sawyer. Who will sell the most books??!!

We are Half-way to Rotary Foundation Goal

We all know that Rotary does amazing work around the world, but sometimes it’s hard to quantify the global impact of clubs. Make one of your New Year’s resolutions to educate others about impact of The Rotary Foundation. Visit the Rotary.org website for information.

#Giving Tuesday results are in

The Rotary Foundation capped off Foundation Month by raising the most funds on #GivingTuesday since the global campaign to promote online giving began, with donors from 38 countries giving over $178,000. Not only did The Foundation raise 76% more this year than on #GivingTuesday 2014, we also had the most online donations made on a single day in the past two years. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make #GivingTuesday 2015 a success!

Our Rotary Club of Rapid City has a goal of $7100 this year, which is an average of $100 per member. As of December, our club has given $3864. Have you made your donation this year? We need to sign up more members for EREY and/or Rotary Direct!

Rotary Has Heart Projects!

Our club is joining clubs from across Zone 21b and Zone 27 in helping show how much Rotary cares this year! Let's show everyone in our community that Rapid City Rotary has Heart!
A small group of fellow Rotarians met at Feeding South Dakota facility Tuesday, October 13 to pack backpacks for school children.
Rotarians contributed Halloween candy for the SBI Trick or Treat day. And a great number of children's books were donated for the SBI Little Free Library by the end of October. Keep the books coming...

Join clubs from across Zone 21b and Zone 27 in helping show how much Rotary cares this year! Let's show everyone in our communities across the nation that Rotary Has Heart!
Rotary Has Heart is the over-arching theme each Rotary club can use to promote the work being done in your community. By using a common theme, and common social media, clubs are able to share their good work with others. Together, we can all help our friends and neighbors see the great work being done each day by thousands of Rotarians.
You can use an existing program, or develop a new service project to highlight how your club is showing heart in your community. This is your chance to help build better publicity across the entire Rotary world by working together to promote the good work we all do each and every day.
We need to talk about what Rotary does, and make sure we use a unified voice in telling our story. Please use the downloadable jpg images and RotaryHeart news release, and adapt it for use in your club. Then, send your news stories, photos, and reports of media placement to me so we can tally the results. Email to Linda4Rotary@me.com
